Personal Review:
I’m pretty sure this album needs no introduction. Everyone knows it, and I have like 3 copies.
Let’s start.
So, the album opens with “Hell’s Bells” – really loud obnoxious bell ringing. The musicianship is good though. So far, I can say I like it. (Keep in mind, this is my first time listening to an AC/DC album. Wait, that’s a lie. My mom has this same album on CD.) So, the song is good. But I can’t remember what movie I heard it in – and it was Stephen King’s “Maximum Overdrive” which is a great movie. Next track is “Shoot to Thrill” – it’s all good. Good musicianship, and good singing. AC/DC isn’t my overall general favorite band or anything, they’re kind of just like a band that I know of. Then comes “What Do You Do for Money Honey” – and for some reason, that looks like a title I’d make up. (Seems grammatically incorrect to me. Just saying.) The song is okay, once again, not really my type of music. “Given the Dog a Bone” is next, and basically every single AC/DC song makes me think of the previously mentioned film. The music is good. So I give them that. The A-Side closes with “Let Me Put My Love into You” – um, how about no. But honestly, the song is okay.

Back in Black” starts the B-Side. I’m pretty sure everyone knows the opening guitar riff, and the song. If not, you probably live under a rock. I like the song, and so far this album is A LOT better than I had expected. So this is a good thing, right? Right. Next up, quite possibly the greatest AC/DC song of all time, “You Shook Me All Night Long” – it’s also my moms favorite AC/DC song. Yup, it’s a good song. “Have a Drink On Me” comes next, it’s not overly bad – but this much AC/DC is too much. “Shake a Leg” comes next, and by this point I’m just waiting for this album to be over, but the songs are still good. It’s mainly because I’m not much of an AC/DC fan. Anyways, the album closes with “Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution” – and it’s a good closing track and yea.

I’m out.

Visit the shop if you want one of my extra copies.
