Personal Review:
I honestly believe everyone knows Pilot just for their track “Magic” which just so happens to be on this album – which is great!

The album opens with the track “Just a Smile” and it’s a softer song, kind of has that Bay City Rollers feel to it, the musicianship is pretty great, and when the chorus hits, it’s absolutely amazing. The vocals are superb and the musicianship rocks! Then comes everyone’s favorite Pilot track, “Magic“… “whoa, whoa, whoa… it’s MAAAAGIC!” and you know this song rocks, and it’s one of the greatest songs in rock history. It’s written so beautifully, and musicianship is perfect. After that the song “Lucky for Some” comes around, the guitar playing at the start is pretty great, then the vocals come along and those are pretty great too. After that comes the song “Girl Next Door” which has a pretty familiar piano sound to it, not sure why? Maybe I’ve heard this song before! You know, this is a pretty great song. I’m quite enjoying it. It’s not bad at all. Pilot is pretty great. Then comes the track “Lovely Lady Smile” which is a wee bit slower, and the musicianship isn’t as great as I’d expect it to be, but the chorus is good, not overly great – but good. The A-Side ends with the song “Sooner or Later” and it’s a pretty good ending track for the A-Side, the musicianship is better than the previous and the vocals are still amazing.

The B-Side opens with the song “Don’t Speak Loudly” and it’s a pretty good way to open the B-Side, I definitely love that bass playing, it’s pretty good. I love the vocals and lyrics too, the song is pretty enjoyable. Then after that comes the track “Over the Moon” and it’s a slower track, but I have this feeling it’s going to turn into a power ballad, if not, it’ll still be a good track, the chorus hits and it gets good, real good. It’s definitely a good song. After that comes the track “Never Give Up” and it’s a good track, more for the chorus than for the musicianship. The vocals are pretty good too. After that comes “High into the Sky” which is another good song, definitely for the musicianship on this one and those fast vocals are pretty neat too. I definitely love this group dynamic. “Auntie Iris” follows next, it’s a pretty bassy track, and it’s alright, I can’t say it’s all that bad. I definitely still love the song “Magic“. The album ends with the song “Sky Blue” and it starts off slow, but as the track progresses the musicianship picks up, and the vocals pick up and it’s a pretty good song. The album is another great one.
