The Liner/Sleeve Notes:
This record is dedicated to my wife Carol and daughter Pam for without their support this recording would not be possible.

I want to thank those who prayed for me during my times of sickness and have continually encouraged me in pursuing God’s will in my life. Thank you to the members of the First Baptist Church in Maysville, Missouri; and also to the people of Dekalb County for your support. A special thanks to my mother and father for providing me with a Christian home and for giving me the opportunity to study music.
I pray that this record will glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God loves you, and so do I.
 John Teter

Personal Review:
So it has been a while since I last reviewed something, and I thought what better way to come back then by doing this album!

The album opens with the track “Jesus He is the Son of God” and the song opens with some organ playing and John begins to sing, and his singing voice is pretty great. He goes into the chorus and it’s a pretty good one, John is a really good singer. Then comes the medley “When the Morning Comes / When I Laid My Burdens Down” – and it’s really upbeat and fast, but also very enjoyable. This guy can sing! And it’s fantastic! We go from the first part, to the second part, and all in all, it’s a great medley, but wait! We go onto another medley, “I Should Have Been Crucified / Oh What A Price” comes next, and the first part is one of my favorite Gospel tracks, and it’s performed absolutely fantastically! This guy sings the song so beautifully. “God Needed a Hand” follows next, and it’s a song about Noah, I think. This guy is such a terrific singer. The A-Side ends with the title track “If I Can Help Somebody” – and it opens with some backing vocals, first by a group of males, then a female, before John begins to sing, and he has such a deep and powerful voice, and it’s just unbelievable.

The B-Side opens with the song “That’s What Jesus Means to Me” and it’s a good song, John sings it well, and his vocals are pretty great. “Come On Down” comes next, and John sings it beautifully, his voice is superb, and the backing musicianship is phenomenal. After that comes the song “Resurrection Morn” and it’s a slower track, but John continues to sing it wonderfully. This guys voice is beyond great. The album continues with the song “No Other Name / There’s Something About That Name” and it’s a good track, not bad, a bit slow for my liking but decent. The album closes with the medley “God Will Take Care of You / Oh Yes He Cares / If That Isn’t Love” and it’s another slower medley, but still decent, all in all, not a bad album.
