Personal Review:
I love Dwight Yoakam, he’s a great singer and he’s not bad as an actor, and yes, the 80’s may be over, but he still pulls off the same pants, that is completely fine by me.

The album opens with the song “Little Ways” and Dwight delivers it perfectly, and his voice is one of those voices you gotta hear to love, but when you do hear you know it’s a great voice. His lyrics too are pretty great. Then we go onto the song “Smoke Along the Track” and once more, Dwight just continues to give us amazing vocals, and some pretty great guitar playing. I think Dwight is pretty great. After that comes “Johnson’s Love” and it’s another slower song, but Dwight still has a great voice and I’m really enjoying this album so far, and I really love Dwight’s voice. It wasn’t a bad song at all. Next up is “Please, Please Baby” which opens with Dwight saying ‘Hang on a second, hang on‘ and then a guitar solo, and then some amazing Dwight singing. I really, really do like Dwight Yoakam. The A-Side closes with “Readin’, Rightin’, Rt. 23” and once more, it’s another great song, and a nice way to end the A-Side.

The B-Side opens with “Always Late with Your Kisses” and it’s not a bad song, a little short and quickly forgotten. “1,000 Miles” comes next, and it seems to be better on the grounds of musicianship and vocals, it’s a more enjoyable track for sure, I’ve got no complaints here. Then after that we go onto the track “Throughout All Time” and Dwight and his band deliver this album and all the songs beautifully, it’s pretty great. “Little Sister” comes next, and I’m not too partial of the vocals or lyrics, but the musicianship is pretty great, so I guess that is really what matters here, correct? The album closes with the song “This Drinkin’ Will Kill Me” and once more, we’re greeted with a taste of great musicianship and it’s absolutely fantastic! I adore Dwight Yoakam.
