The Liner/Sleeve Notes:
“IN WORLD WAR TWO THE AVERAGE AGE OF THE COMBAT SOLDIER WAS 26. IN VIETNAM HE WAS 19”
Personal Review:
So, basically, this song fell into the category of one hit wonders of the 80’s, and basically, the title track “19” is a song with overdubs from a local news channel, and it’s upbeat, but about war.
The A-Side is the track “19” and it has pretty upbeat music to it, while the news anchor dub just kind of describes the war, and has excerpts from news interviews from soldiers with PTSD. It’s interesting, to say the least.
The B-Side is “Fly By Night” which once again is upbeat sounding, and comes off as a typical 1980’s dance track. It was enjoyable?
