Personal Review:
So, I can’t really say I’m like a huge Carly Simon fan or anything, I know like one song, and knew she was married to James Taylor for a bit.

The album opens with “That’s the Way I’ve Heard It Should Be” and for some reason the vocals seem familiar, and the piano playing is nice, but it seems to be a bit slow for me. I do like this drumming. Carly Simon does have a really nice voice too. Okay, so this song is good. “The Right Thing to Do” comes next, and Carly continues with her great singing, the song is pretty nice I’m liking it so far. Next up comes Carly’s duet with her then husband James Taylor, “Mockingbird” comes next, and the two together are good singers, I do prefer each on their own, as they both equally are great singers. It’s a decent track for sure. “Legend in Your Own Time” follows next, and it seems to have a nice flow to it, Carly does have a terrific voice. This is a pretty good album actually, I’m enjoying it. The A-Side closes with “Haven’t Got Time for the Pain” which features James Taylor on acoustic guitar this time, and Carly delivers this track beautifully, it’s actually a really great song. Overall, the musicianship on that track was superb.

The B-Side opens with my favorite Carly Simon track, and up til now, the only one I heard, “You’re So Vain” and everything about this track from the bass at the beginning to Carly’s vocals, this song is the epitome of perfect. The chorus is amazing, the structure of the whole song is great. Everything is so spot on with this track it’s crazy. Also, Mick Jagger is uncredited, but he is the backing vocalist on this track. “(We Have) No Secrets” comes next, and it’s a good track, I’m really loving how it flows and everything about this song so far too is pretty great. After that comes “Night Owl” which was written by James Taylor and it’s got a good beat to it, and Carly’s vocals are amazing. “Anticipation” comes next, and it’s a good song, the drums are amazing on their own level. It’s a fantastic track by an extremely talented artist, I’m really loving this album so far. It closes with “Attitude Dancing” and everything about this closing track is great. I cannot stress enough how much I love this album and the chorus on this track itself is fantastic.
