Gary Bradford – “We Have Come / I’m Yours”
We all know that to me, Gary Dee Bradford was one of the finest voices in Gospel music from his first album, “Sings For You…” to his 1988 release “The Composer” he showcases his God-given talent across those six albums, his latter three, “Seeds of Perfection“, “I’m Not Handicapped, Just Inconvenienced” and “The Composer” each spawning singles. This particular single comes from his “I’m Not Handicapped, Just Inconvenienced” album.
The A-Side is “We Have Come” and it’s a song that was written by Gary, it is a bit of a slower song but it’s got musicianship, and Gary has a real powerful and rich voice, it is almost unbelievable just how great he is. I am wondering who the woman doing the operatic backing vocals is, she really stands out. Beautiful song, with beautiful vocals by both.
The B-Side is one of my favorites from the “I’m Not Handicapped, Just Inconvenienced” album, and it’s titled “I’m Yours” and it’s written by Gary Chapman, it’s a more upbeat, fast paced song and it has the same energy as the Gospel song, “Get All Excited” which I’m sure Gary has also performed before. The song has that happy feeling to it, like a Pentecostal church. I love the piano and bass on this one.
