Personal Review:
Is it honestly necessary to write an intro to a Little Richard album? The coolest part, the label it’s on, was bought by K-Tel.

So, the album opens with the song “Lucille” and Little Richard kicks it off with some wicked piano playing, and his his fantastic vocals, the song is pretty good, well, everyone knows that. I don’t understand why the album is titled “Live!” considering it’s not even live. Next up we go onto one of my favorite Little Richard tracks, “Good Golly, Miss Molly” and Little Richard continues to just belt out these amazing tracks, and we’re only two tracks in. This is just fantastic music! After that we go onto yet another fantastic Little Richard track, “Ready Teddy” keeps the amazing tracks rolling as this album spins, there ain’t nothing worth complaining about on this album. It’s fantastic. After that we go to the track “Rip It Up” and it’s a bit of a different paced track, but Little Richard is too great to not like this album! The A-Side closes with the song “Jenny, Jenny” and I love Little Richard’s little ‘Whoa’s’ he does. I finally understand why there was that commercial with Little Richard where he just says whoa at the end of every sentence. This is good music.

The B-Side opens with the track “Tutti Frutti” and once more, we continue on with more great tracks by such a talented man, this song and every song leading up to it are just completely fantastic. I do love how Little Richard shouts whoa and screams a lot. “Long Tall Sally” comes next, and the musicianship on this track is absolutely superb, the saxophone solo in it, is absolutely one of the greatest sax solos of all time. It’s amazing. Then we go onto another favorite Little Richard track of mine “The Girl Can’t Help It” comes next, and from the backing vocals, to the musicianship right down to Little Richard’s vocals, everything about this song is amazing, especially the musicianship. “Slippin’ & Slidin’” continues this wonderful compilation album filled with great Little Richard hits, I don’t think there is anything much greater than this. We end the album with the song “Keep a Knockin’” and what a track to end on, this is just a fantastic song. Little Richard is an extremely talented man. This has been one great experience.
