Personal Review:
Firstly, “J.P.N.” is Jeremy Newson, and those unfamiliar with who that is, he’s the guy who gets married at the beginning of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, you know? Ralph Hapschatt. Anyways, after success with Rocky Horror, Jeremy released three singles, and this is one of them.
So, the A-Side is “Do the Jog” and it has some weird ‘comical’ intro, about someone being fat and being told by their doctor to go for a jog. The chorus is the only good part so far, you can’t even tell it is Jeremy singing, though you only will know what Jeremy sounds like when he sings if you’ve seen “Shock Treatment“. I do hope the B-Side is better.
The B-Side is “Hey Mr. D.J.” and well, you know what, it’s not that novelty pop stuff, and Jeremy’s voice is pretty good when he is singing seriously. It’s kind of like that Bay City Rollers style pop music. This definitely made the single better, it definitely should’ve been the title track, as opposed to the other one. Look for more of Jeremy’s singles in the future!
