Personal Review:
I don’t know nothing about Peter, or this album. I solely know of it’s existence because the track, “Major Tom” is #68 on VH1’s One Hit Wonders of the 80’s.
Anyways, the album opens with the song “Only Dreams” and it’s pretty neat, it’s definitely a dance track. I like it. Peter has a pretty distinct voice. Then after that comes “Lifetime Guarantee” and well, that too is a pretty interesting track. Though, this album does seem to have that low budget feel to the songs. I’m just not feeling the music so far. Oh, then comes the song “The Noah Plan” with a spoken intro, and hey, this song is pretty darn good. I’m definitely digging it, I could dance to this. Then comes the title track of the album, “Error in the System” and well, I’m still not really feeling this album. So far only one song has really peaked my interest. Like, the songs are catchy, but not catchy enough to really get me into the music.

The B-Side opens with “Major Tom” – which is kind of an unofficial sequel to David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” (Even though Bowie did it himself with “Hallo Spaceboy” and “Ashes to Ashes“) this song, however is very catchy. “4-3-2-1, earth below us, drifting, falling…” I really like this song, I’m really glad I watched VH1’s One Hit Wonders of the 80’s. (Hahaaa.) after that comes “Major Tom, Part II” which is just an instrumental track that follows the first track. Nothing to important. Followed by that is “(Let’s Play) U.S.A” – and once again, cheesy 80’s music. I will say this, the musicianship is good. It’s followed by “I Have No Desire” which is an okay track, not overly interesting, but still okay. So far, only 3 tracks have kept me interested. The album closes with “Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht (Silent Night, Holy Night)” I have no idea why in the mid 80’s – early 90’s did so many pop artists end their albums with Christmas songs. It’s awful.
