Personal Review:
So! The album opens with a Gospel version of the Beatles hit song, “Let it Be” – to say the least (not being much of a fan of Lennon & McCartney) I prefer this version over the original (John Denver also does a rather nice cover of it too.) Anyways, Billy is a Blackwood – so you know he’s talented! The following song is The Byrds song “Turn, Turn, Turn” – which once again, Billy is amazing at covering! It doesn’t quite beat the original, but Billy’s version is still worth taking notes. Then comes Billy’s own track “Gospel Drums No. 2” (I’m not quite sure where number one was, album wise – or if it was a single – as I’ve seen a “Gospel Drums” single) In conclusion, to say the least, Billy is one mean drummer! After that song is over, the song “Yield Not to Temptation” begins! And May I say, I like it. Anyways, it’s followed by the song “A Brighter Day” – which turns out to be an amazing track to close any album with!

Anyways, the B-Side opens with ever so amazingly done cover of Ray Steven’s “Everything is Beautiful” – Billy is amazing at singing, and chooses the right songs to cover! (Everything about this album is Beautiful – see what I did there?) He then covers Kenny Rogers “Momma’s Waiting” and, well… it too, like every song on this album is absolutely amazing! Then he covers The Youngblood’s “Get Together“! The only other cover of this song I’ve heard that was actually worth listening to was Chris, Chris & Lee’s version included in their song “Samson” – anyways, Billy once again delivers like a champ! The album closes with Billy’s version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water” (To be quite, 100% truthful… it’s the first version I’ve heard…) I absolutely love it! Billy is a talented musician and a great Christian! God Bless you Billy!
